Must-have extension for me with the most complicated setting i have ever seen. Doesn't work on Google sites, unfortunately. Clear 5 stars from me.

I've used many, many different extensions in several different browsers over many years. (I'm an experienced web developer, starting when the web was first invented, and can code several different web languages -- in other words, I'm not a newbie.) ContextSearch web-ext has the most complicated, buggy preferences interface I've ever seen in a browser extension. I have it running in both Firefox and Chrome, and when it works it's great -- but trying to customize it, add search engines, etc. i... Show more

How do I make the results always open in the current tab? I don't understand.

It looks like more recent versions of chrome introduced a bug to the Open in Current Tab option. Version 1.46.25 should address this.

best search app on the internet, believe me, I tried most of the other search apps on the internet in my free time, and it was and still the best by a great margin.

With this extension, you can search selected text or clicking a word in specialized search engines, Can search the current page and the current site or image in Google (or another search engine) with just two clicks. You can easily add them by right-clicking any search bar or using mycroftproject.com. Previously, I was using Pitmairen Selection Search, but ContextSearch is way better.

First, thank you so much for the fine thought-out extension. I didn't find a option so that when searching from the context menu, the result opens in a next near tab after the original one (in the next right tab), and not at the end of the list of all tabs. If there is no such option, then please add it. It is absolutely inconvenient when many tabs are open.

Still working to this day, October 24, 2022. One of my most highly used extensions. Going to dig through it to see if there is an option to search multiple sites all at once. How do you add search terms with spaces? Update: you can add this to modify terms regex: "\\s","-" the "-" you can replace with "+" if needed

From the search engines manager window, click the engines you want to group with shift+click or ctrl+click to highlight, then right-click and choose "New Multi-Search Engine" from the menu. Done.

there is an error when moving files with the mouse, the screen blurs and does not let you move them.
