ContextPulse - Gemini Chat Health
Overview
Monitors token count, topic entropy, and context noise inside your Google Gemini chats in real-time.
Ever notice your Gemini chats getting slow, repetitive, or start hallucinating details during long conversations? As AI chat histories grow, the model's self-attention spreads thin—causing "attention dilution" and "context poisoning" where older topics bleed into your current questions. ContextPulse is a lightweight diagnostic popup built for Google Gemini (gemini.google.com) that sits silently in your browser, helping you see exactly when your chat is reaching critical bloat. 🔥 REAL-TIME METRICS: 1. Token Weight: Estimates how close your chat is to standard memory saturation (up to 32,000 tokens). 2. Topic Entropy: Calculates the Shannon Entropy of topics in your thread. Low entropy means high focus; high entropy warns you of topic sprawl. 3. Context Noise Ratio: Measures the percentage of active history that is out-of-topic, identifying potential distraction weights. ⚡ HOW TO USE: 1. Load the extension and open any chat thread on gemini.google.com. 2. Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the ContextPulse HUD. 3. Check the color status: - Green (Optimal): Chat is focused and highly accurate. - Yellow (Drift): Multi-subject history loaded. - Orange (Fragmented): High risk of parameter cross-talk. - Red (Overload): Highly recommend starting a fresh thread! Keep your AI conversations fast, sharp, and accurate by tracking context diagnostics in real-time.
