## Short Description Privacy-conscious browser filtering with a local image-safety classifier, parental controls, and a personal keyword and domain blocklist. ## Detailed Description **Content Safety Filter** is a free Chrome extension for individuals, families, schools, and organisations that want more control over harmful or unwanted web content. The extension applies configurable URL and page-content checks, a PIN-protected Parental Lock, educational block screens, and a Custom Keyword and Domain Blocklist. Parents and users can add a short keyword such as `vaping`, a longer phrase such as `how to buy drugs online`, or a site/domain such as `example.org`. When an entry matches a page address or visible page text, the extension shows a local block screen. **Local Image Shield.** Image Shield includes a bundled local image-safety classifier whose technical name is **NSFWJS**. It uses TensorFlow.js to assess eligible standard image elements in the browser and estimate whether they fit categories such as Drawing, Hentai, Neutral, Porn, or Sexy. When a selected confidence threshold is reached, the user can choose an educational interstitial, blur, or hide response. Image pixels used for classification are not sent to the CSF developer for cloud analysis. **Built for user control.** The Image Shield works alongside the extension’s local keyword, domain, parental, and page-content controls. It is designed to give users a practical privacy-conscious safety layer for eligible standard web images while keeping choices on the device. **Custom Keyword and Domain Blocklist.** The list is stored locally in Chrome extension storage. In Parent Mode, users can export a private JSON backup or import a trusted JSON configuration; import keeps existing entries and ignores duplicates. In Child Mode, the Parental Lock prevents a child from casually changing, importing, or exporting the Custom Keywords controls without switching back to Parent Mode. **Privacy by design.** The extension does not sell personal data, create advertising profiles, or transmit a user’s personal Custom Keyword and Domain Blocklist to the developer.
