Keep your work, personal, banking, and shopping accounts separate — without switching browsers or using separate profiles. Container Tabs organizes your browsing into named, color-coded containers. Each one isolates its own cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage, so you can be logged into the same website with two different accounts at the same time, in two different tabs. FEATURES • Create as many containers as you want, each with its own color • Containers appear as native Chrome Tab Groups • Right-click any link → "Open Link in Container" to send it straight to the right one • Assign specific sites to always open in a chosen container • See every open tab inside a container, jump to one, or close it, right from the toolbar popup • Search across your containers and their open tabs HOW IT WORKS Chrome doesn't offer the same built-in multiple-cookie-jar system Firefox does, so Container Tabs isolates each container's cookies and page storage by swapping them in and out as you move between containers. Switching between tabs in the same container does nothing extra — the swap only happens when you actually move to a different container. WHAT'S NOT ISOLATED IndexedDB is intentionally left untouched. Swapping it safely would mean closing a site's database mid-session, which risks breaking pages that are actively using it. Everything else — cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage — isolates reliably. PRIVACY Container Tabs runs entirely on your device.
