Consultant Notes helps you log your daily work by project in a clean weekly calendar view. Each note has a type — meeting, in-progress, completed, at-risk, blocked, and more — so your week tells a clear story at a glance. Everything is stored privately in your browser — no account, no server, no subscription required. Sync and export are entirely opt-in and use your own credentials. Built for consultants, freelancers, engineers, developers, designers, and anyone who wants a structured work log that stays on their machine. 📅 WEEKLY CALENDAR VIEW Notes are organised in a 7-day grid. Navigate to any week with a single click. Click any day header to focus on that day's notes only. Every note shows its type, icon, and content at a glance. 📂 PROJECT-BASED ORGANISATION Create as many projects as you need and switch between them instantly. Notes belong to a project and a day — clear, structured, no clutter. ⚡ QUICK-LOG FROM ANY PAGE Select text on any web page and click "Log with Consultant Notes" to create a note in today's slot immediately. Or right-click selected text and choose "Log with Consultant Notes". Choose your preferred trigger in Settings → Logging Mode: • Only when the side panel is open (default — minimal footprint) • On any text selection • Right-click context menu only ☁️ GITHUB GIST SYNC (OPTIONAL) Push your notes to a private GitHub Gist using your own Personal Access Token. Pull from any other device and merge — local notes are never overwritten. Soft-delete with sync propagation — deletions sync across devices; purge permanently when you're ready. 🔮 OBSIDIAN INTEGRATION (OPTIONAL) Send the current week's notes to your Obsidian vault via the obsidian:// URI scheme — no plugin required. Fully customisable Markdown template with variables for person name, project, week, and individual notes. Option to create a new note per week or append to a single target note. 💾 JSON BACKUP AND IMPORT Export your full data set (notes, projects, settings) as a portable JSON file. Import merges safely — no duplicates, no data loss, local edits are always preserved. Nothing leaves your machine unless you explicitly set up Gist sync using your own GitHub token. No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party services. The extension has no backend and requires no account.
