Connections Helper
Overview
Mark and annotate words in the NYT Connections puzzle
Mark cards with the four puzzle colors (yellow, green, blue, purple) to map out your group theories before committing. Each color shows a count so you can tell at a glance if a group has too many or too few candidates. ── ONE AWAY MODE ── Switch to One Away mode to layer up to three ring colors (rose, violet, lime) on each card independently — perfect for tracking which groups a card might belong to when you're one step away from solving. ── FEATURES ── • Draggable panel — position it anywhere on screen, vertically or horizontally • Swap colors — reassign all marks from one color to another in one click • Per-day storage — marks are saved per puzzle date and persist across sessions • Light and dark themes • Marks are purely visual overlays; the game is never touched ── USAGE ── Click the extension icon in the toolbar to show or hide the panel. Enable marking mode with the pencil button, then click any card to mark it with the selected color. Click a marked card again to remove the mark. No account, no data collection, no external requests. All data stays in your browser.
