Overview
Select Connect Mic and Connect Speaker for browser calls and media.
Connect Audio Router lets you choose the microphone and speaker used by compatible browser calls and media. Designed for the Connect desktop app, the extension detects Connect Mic and Connect Speaker and helps route browser audio through your preferred devices. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install and start the Connect desktop app. 2. Open a compatible calling or media website. 3. Select your preferred microphone and speaker. 4. Click “Apply routing.” 5. If a call already controls the microphone, reload the page or rejoin the call. FEATURES • Select a preferred microphone for future browser microphone requests. • Route compatible HTML media and Web Audio output using setSinkId(). • Apply routing to the current website. • Remember device names across compatible websites. • Quickly identify whether Connect Mic and Connect Speaker are available. • Change devices without modifying your operating system’s global audio settings. PRIVACY Connect Audio Router does not record, listen to, store, or transmit conversation audio. Selected device names and routing preferences are stored locally in the browser. Website access is used only to apply the audio routing selected by the user. LIMITATIONS Audio routing depends on the browser APIs supported by each website. Chrome internal pages cannot be modified. Some active calls may need to be reloaded or rejoined after changing the microphone. Connect Audio Router is open-source software based on AudioPick and distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0.
