Overview

See how a competitor markets itself, in plain English. Open their site, click once. Your analysis is completely private.

Ever wondered how a competitor is getting customers? Competitor Surveyor shows you, in plain English, with no jargon. Open a competitor's website, click the Competitor Surveyor icon, and press "Analyse this website". In about five seconds you get a report that follows the customer's journey: HOW PEOPLE FIND THEM Are they set up to advertise on Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok? One press opens each platform's public ad library, so you can see the ads they are running right now. HOW THEY FOLLOW VISITORS AROUND Can they show ads to people who have already visited their site? HOW THEY WIN THE CUSTOMER Online booking, live chat, customer reviews, enquiry forms, offers for new customers. HOW THEY STAY IN TOUCH Email marketing, newsletter sign ups and pop ups. HOW THEY LEARN AND IMPROVE Are they measuring what works, or flying blind? Every finding is a plain sentence about what it means for a business owner. Where a competitor is doing nothing, the report says so. That is your opening. COMPARE THEM WITH YOU Save your own website once, and every competitor you survey is compared with it. See at a glance where they are ahead of you and where you are ahead of them, and get your next three moves. COMPARE YOUR COMPETITORS SIDE BY SIDE Up to three competitors are kept, so you can see them in one grid: what they all do that you don't, what only you do, and what nobody in your market has done yet. PRINT OR SAVE AS PDF Any report, or the whole comparison, as a clean one page document to keep or pass around. YOUR ANALYSIS STAYS PRIVATE No accounts, no servers and no tracking. Competitor Surveyor never runs on its own: it only looks at a website when you click its icon. Nothing about you, the sites you survey or what it finds is sent to us. Your own site's details and your saved competitors stay on your computer. WHAT IT CAN'T SEE It reads what a website shows to its visitors. It can't see tracking that runs on a competitor's server, and it can't tell you how much they spend on ads. Made by Escher Group, an integrated marketing communications agency in Perth and Melbourne, Australia.
