CompassPoint helps you write thoughtful comments and replies in your own voice. Open a video or post, and it prepares several options for you to read, edit and publish yourself. It lives in your browser's side panel and works on YouTube, Facebook and X. You choose the AI service behind it, and you stay in control of everything that is sent. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open CompassPoint from the toolbar and connect an AI service with your own key. 2. Go to a video or post and choose Use current page. Chrome asks once to allow that site. 3. Pick a language, tone and stance, or type your own take. 4. Press Generate and review exactly what will be sent. Nothing leaves your browser until you approve. 5. Choose an option, edit it, then copy it or insert it into the comment box. You press Post. WHAT YOU GET • Replies that fit the moment. It reads the title, description, transcript and text, and can look at pictures or a public video with a supported model. • Your voice. More than 90 tones, three stances, three lengths, and 18 languages in native or romanized script. • Choice. Between 3 and 10 alternatives at a time, with more on request. • Flexibility. Save your favorites, switch between connected services in one click, or use a model that runs on your own computer. • GitHub Copilot is supported through an optional helper app that runs on your computer. PRIVACY AND CONTROL • No account, no analytics and no CompassPoint servers. Requests go straight from your browser to the service you chose. • Keys stay in your browser's session storage and are cleared when you close Chrome. • It runs only on sites you allow, and you can remove access at any time. • It never posts for you and never overwrites text you have already written.
