.Compact Video Saver helps you find direct MP4, WebM, and similar videos, as well as supported large, unencrypted VOD HLS streams exposed to your browser on pages you visit. The extension is available for the desktop versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera through the Chrome Web Store. The extension lists the detected format, quality, available size, and title. You can edit the filename before saving, and download progress remains visible until you close the browser. A file is saved only after you click the Download button. Your first three saved videos are free. Additional saves require a monthly or annual automatically renewing subscription. One subscription can be used on up to three devices. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal; access remains available until the end of the current billing period. Pricing: - Other countries: USD 6.49/month or USD 37/year, excluding applicable tax Supported features: - Detect direct MP4, WebM, and similar video responses - Show format, resolution, and estimated size when available - Suggest an editable filename using page information - Save supported unencrypted VOD HLS streams with an estimated size of 500 MB or more - Resume supported HLS downloads after interruption - Restore a purchase by email Not supported: - DRM systems such as Widevine, FairPlay, or PlayReady - Encrypted video - Direct videos smaller than 10 MB or with an unknown size - HLS streams that are smaller than 500 MB, size-unknown, encrypted, live, use BYTERANGE, or have separate audio and video tracks - DASH/MPD saving - Circumvention of paywalls, sign-in, regional, subscription, or other access restrictions - Downloading content without permission Use this extension only with content you own or have permission to save. The extension does not automatically send detected page URLs or video URLs to the licensing service. A random installation identifier is used to check the free allowance and subscription status. Your purchase email is transmitted only when you request purchase restoration and is stored as a one-way lookup value. If you voluntarily submit a bug report, it may include the site hostname, your optional description and reproduction steps, extension version, browser, display language, and an optional reply email. Stripe processes payment details; the extension does not store card numbers.
