Commit Builder for Git
Overview
Clean Conventional Commits messages: pick a type, check the rules as you type, then copy or fill the merge box.
Write clean Conventional Commits messages in seconds, right from the pull request you're on. • Pick a type with one click: feat, fix, docs, style, refactor, perf, test, build, ci, chore or revert • Add a scope and, when something breaks, a breaking-change note • Checks your message against the Conventional Commits rules as you type: length, tense, capitals and the trailing period • A live preview of exactly what will be committed, with the body wrapped at 72 columns • Footers made for you: Closes #12, BREAKING CHANGE and Co-authored-by • On a GitHub pull request or a GitLab merge request, it starts from the title, branch and labels, and fills the squash-merge message box with one click • Anywhere else, click a text box first and Fill puts the message there, or press Enter to copy it • Your own types and scopes, optional gitmoji, and 50, 72 or 100-character limits • Unfinished messages are kept for each pull request Private by design: it reads a page only when you open it there, keeps its settings in your browser, and never sends anything anywhere. No account and no tracking. Keyboard: Alt+Shift+C opens it, Enter copies, and Ctrl+Enter (⌘+Enter on a Mac) fills the page.
