Commentary Off — Remove Commentary, Keep the Game Sound

Turn down TV commentary in web video and keep the crowd, whistle and ball sounds. Audio is processed only on your computer.

Commentary Off turns down the TV commentary on sports streams so you can watch the match with just the stadium: the crowd, the players, the referee's whistle and the sound of the ball. Open a match in a Chrome tab, click the Commentary Off icon and switch it ON. The extension processes that tab's sound with an on-device speech-separation model and plays it back with the commentary lowered and the game sound kept. Switch it OFF and the tab sounds exactly as before. Some sites with copy protection may not allow audio capture. • Tested with English commentary. • Requires Chrome 116 or newer.
