Overview
Export all comments of a YouTube video to CSV or Excel. Replies, likes, dates. No account, no server.
Open a YouTube video, click the icon, and export every comment (replies, likes, dates, and authors) as clean CSV or Excel. Comment Grab reads the comments the same way the page itself does, right in your browser, and turns them into a spreadsheet you can filter, sort, or share. What it does: - Collects every comment on the video, including replies (toggle on or off) - Sort by Top or Newest, same as YouTube's own sort menu - Exports to CSV or Excel (.xlsx) with likes as real numbers, not text - Copies as TSV for pasting straight into Google Sheets - Choose which columns to export in Options: author, comment, likes, date, reply count, comment link, and more - Works on regular videos and Shorts - No comment limit, no account, completely free Why these permissions: - activeTab and scripting: read comments only on the YouTube tab where you click the icon or use the right-click menu, never in the background - contextMenus: adds "Export comments to CSV..." to the right-click menu on video pages - downloads: saves the CSV or Excel file you export, with a clear filename - storage: remembers your column and format settings, locally Privacy: Comment Grab runs entirely in your browser. It only talks to youtube.com, the same request the page makes when you scroll comments, using your existing YouTube session. No server, no account, no data collection. Comment Grab is not affiliated with YouTube or Google. Excel is a file format it exports to, not an endorsement.
