Compare CommCare application definitions without publishing or reading patient data.

CommCare Diff helps CommCare application builders review saved configuration changes when the built-in View Changes tool is unavailable. It compares the current saved application with released builds or local snapshots. Changes are grouped by module, form, field, setting, and impact area so reviewers can focus on calculations, case data, display conditions, choices, labels, and navigation. Features: - Compare saved builds, the current saved state, or local snapshots. - Reload and rerun a live comparison in one click. - Highlight changed, added, and removed configuration. - Open a changed question directly in CommCare. - Copy technical paths, copy a Markdown report, or download it as a file. - Compare imported Application Structure JSON files as a fallback. CommCare Diff is local and read-only. It uses the active CommCare login, reads application definitions only, and does not edit or publish applications. It does not read cases, submissions, reports, or patient data. It has no analytics and sends no application data to the developer or any third party.
