Navigate using top-down domain structures.

comdot lets you visit websites using the topdown version of their urls. For example, to visit reddit.com/r/soccer, you can also use com.reddit/r/soccer, or with .reddit/r/soccer as the empty key is the default custom mount for TLD com. You can still use the ordinary urls though. In options page, you can set two things: mounts and shortcuts. 1. A mount is a variable to destination url. It later directly gets substituted to the destination url. For example, if .r is a mount you set up with the destination being com.reddit/r, you can then use it like .r/soccer/submit or .r/funny/top to reddit.com/r/soccer/top or reddit.com/r/funny/submit. It can reduce a typing when the destinations vary by a certain pattern. Mounts must consist of a dot at the front and a following word without space. Note: You can make a mount whose destination uses another mount. For example, you can make .soccer to reddit.com/r/soccer using by .r/soccer when .r is defined as above. 2. A shortcut is basically a shorthand for TLDs. If you set up a shortcut X for a TLD Y, every topdown url starting with X is interpreted as a url starting Y. For example, if you set up a shortcut uk for co.uk, then you can use uk as if it's co.uk. You can make multiple shortcuts for one TLD, but one shortcut must have one destination. By clicking the extension icon, you can see the options popup on which you can add, edit and remove mounts and shortcuts. If that's too much of a hassle, you can make a new mount directly from the address bar using the following syntax: .mount_name := .example/url For a concrete example, you can make a mount .gg for google.com by .gg := .google This is an extension made for fun with love. I don't see it being a practical tool tbh. But it can be fun. It creates a bookmark folder called comdot in order to create search suggestions that look like an actual website with the proper icon and url. Please don't delete it. It dosen't collect any single data and everything works on your device. Feel free to try and see how it goes. After using it for more than a month, i can tell you that it has its own merits that bookmark or other things don't fullfill the needs. One simple example is the mount .r for .reddit/r. It has saved me a typing so many times.
