Colour Mod
Overview
Replace colours on any website. Pick with an eyedropper, choose a new colour, and it is remembered for every visit.
Change the colours of any website, and have them stay changed. Colour Mod lets you swap a site's colours for your own, or turn a light site dark with a palette generated from its own colours. Your changes are saved for each site and applied automatically every time you come back. REPLACE ANY COLOUR • Pick the colour to change with the eyedropper, choose from the page's most-used colours, or type a hex code. • Choose the new colour with an interactive colour square and hue slider, RGB sliders and values, a hex field, or presets. • See the change live on the page as you adjust it. • Add as many colour changes per site as you like, and switch each one on or off at any time. • A tolerance slider catches near-identical shades too. DARK MODE, DONE PROPERLY • Generates a dark theme from the site's own colours. There's no crude colour inversion, so photos, logos and brand colours don't turn into negatives. • Backgrounds, text and borders are each handled differently, so layouts keep their depth and text stays readable. • Buttons, links and highlights keep their colour and are only brightened or darkened as needed to stay legible. • Fine-tune it with Background, Text and Saturation sliders. • Want one colour different? Click it in the palette preview and adjust it yourself. WORKS ON MODERN SITES • Recolours text, backgrounds, gradients, borders, shadows and SVG icons. • Keeps up with content that loads as you scroll or navigate. • Handles colours that only appear when you hover over, click or focus on something. • Turn a site's changes off with one switch, and it goes straight back to how it was. HOW TO USE 1. Click the Colour Mod icon (or press Alt+Shift+C) on any site. 2. Switch on Dark mode, or click "Add colour change". 3. That's it. Your changes are saved for that site. PRIVACY Everything stays on your computer. Your colour settings are saved in your browser's local storage. Colour Mod collects no data, has no account, and sends nothing anywhere. Note: Chrome doesn't allow any extension to change its own pages (chrome://) or the Chrome Web Store.
