ColorSnap - Web Color Picker & Color Utility ColorSnap is a lightweight Chrome extension for picking colors from webpages. It stays available as a floating in-page toolbar, so you can pick colors, copy color values, and view recent colors without constantly opening a popup. It is designed for frontend developers, UI designers, website operators, ecommerce sellers, and anyone who needs to quickly capture colors from websites. Click Pick Color to enter color picking mode. Move the cursor to view the magnified preview, then click the target area to capture the color. After a color is picked, ColorSnap shows the color value in multiple formats. You can copy any format with one click. Recent colors are saved locally in your browser, so you can quickly reuse colors you picked before. Privacy ColorSnap does not require an account. ColorSnap does not upload your color history. ColorSnap does not collect browsing history. ColorSnap does not collect webpage text. ColorSnap does not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs. Your recent colors and settings are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. Permissions ColorSnap uses only the permissions needed for its core features: storage: saves recent colors and settings locally. activeTab: allows ColorSnap to work on the current tab after you click the extension icon. scripting: injects the floating color picker into the current webpage. ColorSnap does not request permission to read all websites. Notes Chrome does not allow extensions to run on some special pages, such as chrome:// pages, Chrome Web Store pages, and some browser internal pages. When using the magnified picker, ColorSnap reads pixels from the current visible page screenshot. The picked color may be slightly affected by browser rendering, transparency, anti-aliasing, image compression, or display scaling.
