Colorpeek
Overview
Inspect color and typography on any webpage: eyedropper hover mode, page palette extraction, and a WCAG AA/AAA contrast checker.
Colorpeek turns your browser into a lightweight design-inspection tool. Hover any element to read its color and type styles live, pull a full color palette off the current page, and check any two colors against WCAG contrast thresholds — all without leaving the tab you're on. WHAT IT DOES - Eyedropper hover mode: start it, hover any element, and see a live readout of its color, background, font, weight/size, and line height. Click to pick, Esc to cancel. - Page palette extraction: pulls the colors actually in use on the current page into one palette view. - Contrast checker: drop any two hex colors into Slot A and Slot B and instantly see whether they pass AA Normal, AA Large, AAA Normal, and AAA Large. - Recent colors: every color you pick is saved to a running list so you can reuse it without picking again. - Configurable color format: choose Hex, RGB, or HSL as the default display format across the popup. - Adjustable history size: set how many recent colors to keep before the oldest are evicted, or clear all saved data in one click. HOW IT WORKS Colorpeek runs entirely on the page you're currently viewing. Click the toolbar icon, start the eyedropper or open the palette/contrast tabs, and it reads the page's rendered styles directly — no setup, no accounts, no external services. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Colorpeek requests no host permissions and makes no network requests. It only accesses the active tab when you invoke it, and all preferences and recent colors are stored locally in your browser. Nothing you inspect or pick ever leaves your machine.
