Overview

Tweak and try out colors on any live web page. Compare schemes, then ask your AI to apply the winner in the source.

ColorFlipper is a Chrome extension for tweaking and trying out colors on any live web page. Mainly used during development alongside an AI assistant, but works on any site Chrome can open. The flow with your AI assistant: 1. Open ColorFlipper on the page being built and click AI Prompt. ColorFlipper copies a short prompt that includes the page's current colors. 2. Paste the prompt into the AI assistant. It replies with several color schemes. 3. Paste the reply back into ColorFlipper. The schemes load into the panel. 4. Flip between schemes to compare, or use flicker mode to rapid-toggle two so the differences pop. 5. Click AI Export to copy a follow-up prompt that tells the AI which colors to change in the source. No API keys required. Prompts pass through the clipboard, so ColorFlipper works with whichever AI you already use. It also works on any other site Chrome can open, which is handy for borrowing a palette from another site, trying a redesign on a client's marketing page, or just exploring. USING AN MCP-CAPABLE AI If your AI supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), ColorFlipper's free MCP integration removes the copy-paste step entirely. After a one-time sign-in, the AI reads the live page through ColorFlipper and pushes color schemes straight into the panel. The round-trip above becomes a single ask in the AI tool. PRIVACY ColorFlipper is offline by default: the extension makes no network calls, runs no analytics, and keeps everything in the local browser. Signing into the optional MCP integration is the only thing that connects to a server. The privacy page details exactly what is logged there. More at colorflipper.com
