Color Picker by Ceres
Overview
Eyedropper color picker: capture colors from any page or image, build palettes, and export in multiple formats. Part of Ceres.
Color Picker by Ceres is a color picker and palette extractor for Chrome that works with any web page or image. Pick any color on your screen with an eyedropper, extract the colors from an image or an entire web page, fine-tune each one, save named palettes, and export them in several file formats. It runs 100% locally, with no accounts and no servers. 🎨 PICK ANY COLOR Use the eyedropper to grab a pixel straight from your screen: web pages, images, designs, videos, or anything else that's visible. Get its value instantly, and skip opening the extension with the Alt + C shortcut. The manual eyedropper captures solid colors. 🖼️ EXTRACT COLORS FROM IMAGES AND WEB PAGES Right-click an image and choose "Scan colors in this image - Ceres," or right-click a page and choose "Scan colors on this page - Ceres." The extension analyzes it and downloads a file with the colors it finds, using the file format and color format you have selected. When a color has transparency, the scan keeps it in the formats that support it. 🌈 BUILD, EDIT, AND ORGANIZE PALETTES Save up to 32 colors per palette and drag to reorder them. Adjust each color's hue, saturation, and lightness with HSL controls (sliders and numeric inputs) and a live preview before saving. Create named palettes, reload them later, add new colors, update them, or delete them whenever you like. 🔢 MULTIPLE COLOR CODES AND MODELS Work in the format you need: HEX, RGB, HSL, and nine more models, including formats with an alpha channel for transparency. Copy a value with one click and switch between them anytime. See the full list in the last screenshot. 📁 EXPORT YOUR PALETTES Export your palette as CSV or XLSX, or in other file formats built for design and development, all available from the same menu. Check the full list in the last screenshot. Use your colors in design, web development, documentation, data analysis, or any other project. 🔒 PRIVACY Your palettes are stored locally in your browser. No accounts, no servers, and no data sent to third parties. The extension only acts on the active tab when you use it. 👥 WHO IT'S FOR Built for people whose daily work runs through UI/UX design, frontend development, or web design, though anyone who needs to identify or save colors will find it just as useful: pick a color, name a palette, and export it in the format you need. ❓ FAQ Does it need an account or a server connection? No. Everything runs locally. Does it capture transparency? The image and page scan keeps the alpha channel when available. The manual eyedropper captures solid colors. How many colors can I save per palette? Up to 32. 🪐 PART OF CERES Ceres is a collection of essential microtools for your browser. Color Picker is the first.
