Collegium — Canvas Study Assistant

Reads your own Canvas courses, deadlines, and files (with your consent) to power AI study help in Collegium.

Collegium is an AI study assistant built for your actual coursework — not generic answers. This extension is how it gets your course context. WHAT IT DOES After you sign in to Collegium and explicitly agree in the extension popup, Collegium reads your own Canvas courses using your existing, already-logged-in Canvas session — the same way your browser already sees that data when you visit Canvas yourself. It syncs: • Course list and syllabi • Assignments and due dates • Pages and course materials • Files (PDF/DOCX text is extracted locally in your browser before syncing) That data is sent to your own Collegium account so the Collegium web app can use it as always-available context for AI help with your assignments, study guides, and coursework — without you having to re-paste your syllabus and due dates into a chat every time. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • No data collection or transmission before any sync begins — you consent explicitly in the extension popup first. • Only your own Canvas data, via your own session — never another student's login or a shared/institutional token. • No browsing history, no data outside Canvas + Collegium's own domains. • We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. • Raw document bytes never leave your browser unprocessed — text extraction (PDF/DOCX) happens locally in the extension before anything is sent. YOUR CONTROL • Turn syncing off any time from the extension popup ("Disconnect and stop syncing"). • Delete all your data any time from the Collegium web app (Settings). • Full privacy policy on the Collegium site WHO THIS IS FOR Students who already use Canvas and want their course context — professor, syllabus, rubric, deadlines — baked into their AI assistant automatically, instead of manually re-explaining it every session.
