Overview
Connect Collabute to Google Meet for automatic notetaker capture and participant speaker labels.
Collabute Browser Companion helps you use Collabute Notetaker in Google Meet. After you connect the extension from Collabute, it detects when you join a Google Meet and securely sends Collabute the meeting URL and join event. While the meeting is active, it also sends displayed participant names, participant count, and timestamped active-speaker changes so Collabute can label live and saved transcript speakers. The extension works only on meet.google.com. It does not read or record captions, meeting audio, video, chat messages, participant email addresses, or general page contents. Google Meet participant IDs are used transiently inside the page and never leave the tab. It requests storage for its revocable credential and temporary retry queue, and alarms permission for reliable delivery retries. You can disconnect the companion at any time from Collabute Meeting Notetaker. Disconnecting revokes its credential and stops future capture requests.
