PLAN WITH DIRECTION - Start with a Morning Ritual that connects long-term goals to today's work - Choose Today's Goal, its concrete Goal Step, and one Push Point from your full task list - Keep those commitments visible in Today Focus while you work - See goal health and carry-over signals before important work quietly drifts - Close the loop with Day's End and The Week's End reviews, streaks, and a look at tomorrow ORGANIZE THE WHOLE BOARD - View tasks as Overdue, Today, Next 7 days, Later, or No Date - Group work by Start Date or a separate finish-by Due Date - Sort each view, drag tasks into your own order, customize column colors, and reschedule overdue work in a batch - Use the full board inside Google Tasks or Google Calendar, or open the compact browser panel from any tab CAPTURE AND MANAGE WORK - Quick-add tasks, edit titles and notes, complete or delete work, and manage subtasks - Set dates with a calendar or natural-language phrases such as "tomorrow" and "next Monday" - Repeat tasks daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly - Search task text and use hashtags as clickable filters - Open Gmail, Google Workspace, and other web links from task cards on the board and in the browser panel - Capture the current page as a task—with its title and URL—only when you choose the capture action, and check the title, list, and tag in a preview before the task is created - Undo a delete from the board or the panel: nothing leaves Google Tasks until the undo window closes - Choose shortcuts for opening Traverce and capturing the current page YOUR TASKS STAY IN YOUR SYSTEM Traverce reads and updates your tasks through the Google Tasks API after you sign in and grant permission. It does not operate a separate server that stores a copy of your tasks, and it does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or remote code. Preferences and working data such as colors, ordering, settings, and sign-in state are stored in browser storage. Settings has a "Your data" section that writes everything Traverce keeps in browser storage to a file you keep, or clears all of it in one confirmed step. Clearing local data leaves your Google Tasks untouched and keeps you signed in—signing out is a separate control. Traverce is an independent product and is not made, endorsed, or sponsored by Google. TRAVERCE CAPTURE FOR IPHONE Traverce Capture is the optional iPhone companion to the extension, available now on the App Store. When a task finds you away from your computer, speak or type it naturally, review the title, notes, due date, and destination list, then send it into the same Google Tasks system that Traverce helps you plan from in Chrome. Start a capture from the app, a Home Screen widget, Siri, Spotlight, Shortcuts, the Action Button, or the Share Sheet. Capture also keeps the Morning Ritual within reach wherever the day begins. Choose or update Today's Goal, the task that moves it forward, and your Push Point on the go, then return to the extension when you want the full board and planning view. WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 1.51.1 This update is about deciding what the board shows you. Months-away work no longer has to sit in front of you every morning: you can hide whole columns, and tell the Later column how far ahead it should reach. Alongside that, columns can be ordered by when you created or last touched a task and reversed in place, and a page you capture can be given a start date at the moment you capture it. A BOARD THAT SHOWS ONLY WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE - Settings now has a Board Columns section that switches Overdue, Next 7 days, Later and No Date on and off - Hiding a column changes only your board. The tasks keep their dates and come back the moment you show it again — nothing is moved and nothing is deleted - The columns that remain share the freed width, so a board of two or three columns reads properly on a narrow window instead of squeezing five - Today cannot be hidden. The Push Point banner lives there, and Today Focus is that column on its own TELL THE LATER COLUMN HOW FAR AHEAD TO LOOK - Settings → Later Column sets the horizon: no limit, two weeks, one month, three months, six months or a year - Anything dated past that point is counted at the foot of the column — "4 tasks beyond 1 month · Show all" — rather than filling it - One click shows them when you want them, and the column returns to your horizon next time you open Traverce, which is the point of setting one - Nothing disappears quietly. The task count in the header reads "N of M" whenever a hidden column or the horizon is holding tasks back NEW WAYS TO ORDER A COLUMN - Two new sorts: Recently Created and Recently Modified - Any sort except My Order can be reversed in place with the button beside it, per column - The tooltip names the direction in the sort's own terms, because reversing Recently Created means oldest first, not "Z to A" - My Order is your own hand-placed sequence, so it has no opposite and the reverse button is simply not offered - Column names and their controls now sit on separate rows, so a name is never shortened to make room for a menu CAPTURE A PAGE FOR A PARTICULAR DAY - The capture preview in the panel now carries a start-date button, using the same picker the add composer uses - A page meant for Thursday can be captured for Thursday instead of being captured today and rescheduled afterwards - Clearing the date is treated as a real choice, and a repeat rule set alongside it is kept - Renaming a capture no longer renames its own link back to the page. The edit lands on the task title, while the link chip stays labelled after the page itself - The confirmation now names the start date you chose, instead of describing a view Traverce no longer has SMALLER THINGS - Clicking anywhere off an open task closes it. Done is only required when the task is holding unsaved work - The board's Settings panel is wider, so a setting's name and its control no longer crowd each other - Turn on Reduce Motion in your operating system and considerably more of the board goes still than before — the buttons, the detail pane, the date picker, the progress fills, the toast and both spinners
