Vettd screens Airbnb guests for hosts. Paste a guest's Airbnb profile link on tryvettd.com and Vettd reads their public review history -- what past hosts wrote about them, and the reviews they left for those hosts in return -- then returns a single score and a report explaining how it got there. WHAT YOU SEE - A score out of 5, with every factor that produced it shown alongside it: what hosts said, how this guest rates hosts back, how consistent those ratings are, how often they review a host at all, and how much history there is to judge. - Every review the guest left for a past host, lowest first. - What each past host wrote about them. - How often reviews go both ways, and how often they do not. - Practical notes on what to expect from this specific guest. WHY THE EXTENSION EXISTS A guest's review history is public, but the reviews they wrote are not on their own profile -- they live on each host's profile instead. Reading them means being signed in to Airbnb. The extension does that work in your own browser, under your own Airbnb login, so nothing has to be handed to a server and no credentials are shared with anyone. WHAT YOU NEED - A Vettd account at tryvettd.com, and the key it gives you. - To be signed in to Airbnb in this browser. Free accounts include two guest checks. Paid plans are on the site. WHAT IT ACCESSES, AND WHY - airbnb.com guest and host profile pages: this is the review history being read. It only ever visits profile pages and the account settings page, never listings, messages, bookings or payments. - tryvettd.com: where your account lives and where a finished report is sent so the site can show it to you. - Storage: your Vettd key, and a record of how many requests have been made recently so checks stay well inside Airbnb's limits. - Tabs and windows: a check opens its own window, does its work, and closes it. Nothing runs in the tabs you are using. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - It does not read, store or transmit your Airbnb password. - It does not touch your messages, bookings, payouts or listings. - It does not run on any site other than airbnb.com and tryvettd.com. - It does not act on your Airbnb account.
