Codework QA Engine — Smarter Web Test Recording and Playback Codework QA Engine is a companion browser extension that streamlines end-to-end testing for QA engineers, developers, and product teams. Record real user journeys, generate resilient element locators, and execute test cases directly within the browser. Whether you are building automated smoke tests, regression suites, or capturing API-driven user flows, Codework QA Engine connects browser interactions with robust automated testing workflows. Key Features Zero-Code In-Browser Test Recorder Record clicks, text inputs, scrolls, page navigations, focus events, and hover actions. Add custom assertions and capture screenshot steps during recording. Use a clean, interactive popup interface with real-time step visualization. Pause, inspect, and resume test execution at any step. Smart and Resilient Locators Automatically extract robust XPath and CSS selectors. Improve locator stability against UI changes. Reduce test flakiness and ongoing maintenance effort. Swagger and API Traffic Capture Integrate with OpenAPI and Swagger documentation endpoints. Intercept API requests and associate them with relevant UI workflows. Capture complete API-driven user journeys alongside browser interactions. Seamless Test Library Synchronization Export recordings directly to the Codework QA Engine dashboard and test repositories. Organize recordings into reusable test cases, test suites, and automated CI/CD runs. Maintain a centralized, version-controlled test library. In-Page Visual Diagnostics Display non-intrusive floating alerts for step errors and debugging insights. Diagnose failures without leaving the application under test. Accelerate troubleshooting during recording and playback. Getting Started Install the extension and pin it to the Chrome toolbar. Open the extension popup and configure your backend workspace in Options, if connecting to a self-hosted or cloud instance. Navigate to the target website and select New Test Recording.
