CodeBase RCM Coding Edit Checker automatically detects CPT/HCPCS codes on browser-based medical coding platforms and checks them against CMS NCCI bundling edits, MUE limits, and common coding rules — in real time, while you code. WHAT IT DOES: • Scans your coding platform (aiHealth, etc.) for CPT/HCPCS codes as you work • Checks every code pair against 4.1 million+ NCCI PTP edits from CMS • Shows MUE (Medically Unlikely Edit) unit limits per code • Flags E/M + procedure same-day encounters missing modifier 25 • Warns about multiple E/M codes on the same encounter • Displays CMS short descriptions and Medicare rates for each code • Color-codes rows directly on your coding platform: red for edits, yellow for warnings, green for all clear • Links to CodeBase RCM (codebasercm.com) for deeper policy research HOW IT WORKS: 1.
