Overview
Front-desk intake for service advisors: dictate or type a customer concern and review the draft before anything is saved.
Cobra Front Desk is an intake tool for service advisors at an auto repair shop. At the service counter, a customer describes a vehicle problem. The advisor either dictates the concern or types it — or both — and the extension drafts a structured intake from it. The advisor reviews and edits that draft, then approves it. Nothing is saved until the advisor approves. What it does: • Captures a customer's stated concern by voice or text at the counter. • Reads which repair order is currently open and which advisor is signed in, so the intake is attached to the right ticket. It does not write to that page. • Lets the advisor pin which microphone this workstation uses for dictation. • Delivers the approved intake to the shop's own server. Privacy: • When the advisor dictates, audio streams from the browser directly to Deepgram, a third-party speech-to-text provider, and is transcribed. The audio does not pass through the shop's server and is not stored. • Recording is advisor-initiated — it starts only when the advisor chooses to record and stops when they stop it. This extension is operated by the same business that publishes it and is intended for that shop's own service advisors.
