jobsignal — hidden red flags on Upwork jobs
Overview
Flags hidden rejection signals on Upwork job pages you open. Reads only that page, runs locally, sends nothing.
Before you spend Connects, jobsignal reads the Upwork job page you opened and shows plain-language red and yellow flags, each with the text from the page it is based on. What it shows on a job detail page: - Client's average hourly rate paid is low - Recent contracts are tiny fixed-price jobs - The post asks for proven experience ("how many have you gotten approved") - A call, walkthrough, or time-zone overlap is required - A long list of questions to answer - High Connects cost On search and Find Work lists it adds short fact labels to cards (for example "Proposals 20 to 50", "30+ hrs/wk"). Jobs whose panel you have already viewed are marked as seen in the list. Facts, not scores: no number is invented. Each flag shows the text it is based on. Free: up to 10 job detail panels per day; list labels are unlimited. Privacy by design: - Reads only the Upwork page you opened. It never opens pages for you. No background requests, no scraping, no auto-apply, no auto-messages. - Everything is stored in your browser (chrome.storage.local). Entries for jobs you have opened are deleted the next time the extension runs after 30 days have passed since you last opened them. - Nothing is sent anywhere. No account. No analytics. - One permission: storage. It runs only on upwork.com job search, job detail, and Find Work pages. jobsignal isn't affiliated with Upwork. Upwork's help center says extensions that read or change its pages may lead to warnings or restrictions on your account. jobsignal only reads the job page you open and adds labels to it. It sends no requests and takes no actions. Please decide with that in mind.
