Unchecked runtime.lastError: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist

FWIW: This extension seems to cause a 'Unchecked runtime.lastError: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.' error in the console (Chrome 79.0.3945.117 - 64bit on Win 10). After disabling AdDetector the error message disappeared.

Is this still working

I have a similar issue and have not noticed anything on known sponsored content.
Is this extension still supported in anyway. The concept is really great and I would love an update to ensure it keeps working. Am happy to donate to the cause

Doesn't work

After a few weeks, I haven't noticed a single page that it detected as sponsored content.

So I found the buzzfeed article from your webpage, and I went to it. Still nothing.
