UUID Generator — v4 & v7
Overview
Generate RFC 9562 UUIDs (v4 and v7) in one click. Runs entirely offline in your browser. No tracking, no permissions.
A UUID generator that opens in one click and does nothing else. • UUID v4 — 122 random bits from the browser's cryptographic random source • UUID v7 — a 48-bit millisecond timestamp first, so values sort by creation time. Useful as a database key, where random v4 keys scatter across the index • Generate 1, 5, 10, 25 or 100 at a time • Uppercase and hyphen-free output • One-click copy Implementation notes v7 ids created inside the same millisecond are kept in order with a counter in the rand_a field (RFC 9562 method 2). Without that, a burst of ids generated in the same millisecond comes back in random order — which defeats the point of using v7 at all. Nothing is sent anywhere. The extension declares no permissions, makes no network requests, and stores nothing. The code is dependency-free, so the source a reviewer reads is the source that ships.
