EdgeCase: Form Layout Checker

Finds layout bugs in web forms inside DevTools, shows the cause, and tries a fix on the live page that is checked by re-scanning.

EdgeCase Privacy Policy Effective 25 October 2026. Applies to the EdgeCase: Form Layout Checker browser extension. Summary EdgeCase does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no servers, accounts or analytics, and it makes no network requests of its own. What EdgeCase does with the pages you inspect When you open the EdgeCase panel in Chrome DevTools and click Scan Form, EdgeCase reads the layout of the page you are inspecting (the position and size of form fields, labels, buttons and messages, and the CSS values that affect them) to find layout problems. The results are shown in the panel on your own computer and are not sent anywhere. If you click Copy report or Copy CSS, the text is copied to your clipboard; EdgeCase does not read the clipboard. Find a fix tries temporary CSS changes on the page you are inspecting and removes them afterwards or when you click Undo. It never saves changes to a website. What EdgeCase stores Only the issues you mark “Not an issue”, kept per website address in Chrome’s local extension storage on your device so they stay hidden next time. Removing the extension deletes them. Why EdgeCase asks for the debugger permission To test how a page looks on a narrow screen, EdgeCase temporarily changes the width of the tab you are inspecting using Chrome’s debugging interface, then restores it. Chrome shows its “started debugging this browser” bar while this is active. EdgeCase uses this interface for nothing else. It does not read network traffic, cookies or passwords, and it does not record what you type; the only thing it checks about a field’s value is whether the field is empty. Children EdgeCase is a developer tool and is not directed at children. Changes If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
