CloneTab
Overview
Duplicate the current tab instantly with a keyboard shortcut or a single click. Open source, no permissions, no data collected.
Duplicate the current tab instantly — one click, or one keystroke. Chrome can duplicate a tab from the right-click menu, but there's no keyboard shortcut for it out of the box. CloneTab adds one: press Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on Mac), or click the toolbar button. The duplicate opens right beside the original, keeping your place. WHY YOU MIGHT WANT IT • Compare two parts of a long page side by side • Keep a search results page open while you follow a link • Branch off from a form or dashboard without losing your current state • Open a second copy of a web app to work in two places at once REBIND THE SHORTCUT If Ctrl+Shift+K is already taken by another extension, Chrome leaves the shortcut unset. Open CloneTab's options page and click "Change shortcut…" to jump straight to Chrome's shortcut settings, where you can record any combination you like. PRIVACY CloneTab requests no permissions at all. It has no access to your browsing history, page contents, or any website data. It makes no network requests and collects nothing.
