Overview

Track time on any task URL and store records in private GitHub repositories you control.

Clockoli is a free time tracker for Chrome that writes your hours to a private GitHub repository you control. There is no Clockoli server and no account to create: the extension talks directly to GitHub. TRACK ANY TASK • Start a timer on whatever you have open: a GitHub issue or pull request, a doc, a support ticket, a dashboard. The page address becomes the task; a title is optional. • On GitHub, a stopwatch sits in the page header next to your avatar. Everywhere else, click the Clockoli toolbar button. • One timer per account, in sync across every browser you use. Switching tasks stops the previous one. FIX YOUR DAY QUICKLY • Edit start and stop times inline as HH:MM – HH:MM. Move an entry into its neighbour and the neighbour follows, saved in one commit. • Drag blocks on the timeline to shape the day. Each task keeps the same colour every day. • Running totals for today, this week and this month. Calendar and timeline views, and search by URL or title over any period. REPORTS AND INVOICES • Team reports across everyone who tracks into the same repository, by day, week, month, person, source or task. • Hourly rates stay in your browser and are never written to the shared repository. Rates can change over time, and mixed currencies are converted at each day's rate. • Export CSV or JSON, print to PDF, or create a numbered invoice from a filtered report. YOUR DATA, IN YOUR REPOSITORY • Records are plain JSON Lines files in Git, readable with or without Clockoli. Every edit stays visible in Git history. • Use a separate repository for each client or employer, and keep personal work in a repository of your own. • Timer changes made offline are queued and synced when GitHub is reachable again. SET UP IN TWO MINUTES 1. Sign in with GitHub. Clockoli uses device flow, so there is no password and no token to paste. 2. Choose a private repository for your time. A new empty one is fine. 3. Open any page and start the timer. MOVING FROM CLOCKIFY An optional add-on imports your Clockify Detailed Report history into your repository, with a preview and explicit mapping of Clockify users to GitHub users. It stays off until you enable it in Settings. PRIVACY Clockoli has no backend and contains no analytics. It sends data only to GitHub, plus currency codes to the Frankfurter exchange-rate service when a report converts currencies. Anyone with read access to your time repository can read the task addresses, titles and times in it. Privacy policy: https://clockoli.com/extension-privacy/ Requires a GitHub account. Works in Chrome and other Chromium browsers.
