Some sentences are worth keeping. Cliplet lets you highlight one on any page and hold on to it, with a note about why it mattered, in a library that stays on your own computer. No account to create, and nothing about your reading leaves your machine. ─────────────── What you can do with it ─────────────── • Keep the sentence while you read. Select it on any article, blog post or documentation page and press save. A dashed outline confirms your selection, and you carry straight on reading. • It looks the way it did on the page. Headings, bold, links, lists and images come along, so an excerpt you reopen months later still reads like the original. • Say why you kept it. A short note sits underneath the passage, instead of in a separate notes app you forget to open. • Let your tags do the sorting. Add them as you save, click one to see everything filed under it, or narrow the list by typing a few letters. • Find it when you have forgotten the wording. Search the text, your own note, the page title, the site you took it from, or a tag you used. Results appear as you type. • See the shape of your reading. The Activity grid gives you a year of highlights at a glance, and Day & Night settles the question of whether you are a Night Owl or a Nine-to-Fiver. • Recognise where things came from. The sites you read most sit on the Reading Shelf as book covers, each one in a colour that stays the same for that site, showing how many highlights came from it. Click a cover to see that site alone. • Know when space is running out. The Dashboard shows how much room your library takes up, and when it is worth exporting a backup and clearing out older saves. • Take everything with you. Export your whole library, or just the part you have narrowed down, to a Markdown file with your tags attached. Import it again later and anything you already have is skipped. • Read it your way. One, two or three columns, a serif or a plain typeface, and text that goes up or down in size. You can also mark, underline or bold a passage from inside a saved card. • Use it in your language. Seven interface languages, chosen from your browser and switchable whenever you like. ─────────────── Everything stays local ─────────────── What you save is kept by your browser, on your own computer. There is no account, no server and no analytics, and Cliplet makes no network requests at all: nothing you keep is uploaded, and nothing watches what you read. ─────────────── New in 1.7.0 ─────────────── • Four colours for your highlights, so you can tell kinds apart at a glance. The colour travels with the note when you export, and comes back on import. • Send one to Obsidian, or copy it as Markdown, with the page it came from and the date. One at a time, or your whole library. • Reopen a page you have saved from and it says so: "2 excerpts on this page" sits in the corner, and clicking it brings them all back. • Clipstash is now Cliplet.
