Read a YouTube transcript beside the video, save an Instagram transcript from a Reel, or export a TikTok transcript for later reference. ClipScribe opens in Chrome's side panel and reads available video captions first. YOUTUBE TRANSCRIPT Read manual or automatic subtitles when the video provides them. Choose an available caption language or YouTube's platform-provided translation, search the transcript, and click timestamps to return to a moment in the video. INSTAGRAM TRANSCRIPT Read and export captions exposed by supported Instagram Reel pages. Captions embedded in the video image are not a separate subtitle track. If readable captions are unavailable, supported complete audio can be used for optional cloud transcription after you confirm the credit quote. TIKTOK TRANSCRIPT Turn available TikTok captions into readable text, find a phrase, and save the transcript. Subtitle availability depends on the individual video; an account login or access restriction on the source platform still applies. READ, SEARCH AND EXPORT • Keep the transcript next to the video while watching. • Search text and jump to source timestamps. • Copy the transcript or export TXT, SRT and VTT files. • Inspect media resources from the current page and download supported audio or video locally. • Import supported subtitle and media files. • Also read available captions from supported Bilibili and Facebook video pages. AI SUMMARY AND AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION Use your ClipScribe account to summarize a transcript or transcribe supported audio when captions are unavailable. Standard AI summaries cost 10 credits per task. Cloud audio transcription costs 5 credits per started minute, subject to file and account limits. Review and confirm the quote before AI processing begins. Failed tasks release reserved credits; saved completed results can be reopened without paying again. Local caption reading, platform caption translations, search, copying, exports and local media downloads are free. No personal AI API key is required. Purchases and billing are managed on the ClipScribe website. PAGE ACCESS AND PRIVACY Click the extension to read the current page. Ongoing media capture is optional, with a separate permission for each supported platform that you can revoke. Content selected for cloud features is sent to ClipScribe; source-platform authentication cookies are not exported to the backend. Saved local content stays in browser storage until cleared. Not every video offers readable captions or downloadable media. ClipScribe does not bypass private-video access controls or DRM. Check AI-generated text against the source.
