xIT
Overview
Copy X/Twitter links through fxtwitter, xcancel and friends. Pick a default, or choose per copy.
You’re still on Twitter. Your friends shouldn’t have to be. xIT turns X/Twitter links into links through fxtwitter, xcancel, Nitter, or your own service. Share better previews in group chats or give people another way to read without an X account. Not a fan of Twitter? Same. But sometimes the post worth sharing is still over there. That doesn’t mean everyone you send it to should have to join. xIT adds a copy button to each tweet and works with X’s own “Copy link” option. Pick your favorite service once, then keep sharing as usual. Want a different service for one post? Choose it from the dropdown. • Copy a rewritten link directly from a tweet. • Get better link previews with services such as fxtwitter. • Link to alternative readers such as xcancel and Nitter. • Remove common tracking parameters from shared URLs. • Right-click an X/Twitter link on another website to copy or open it through your chosen service. • Add your own service using a custom URL template. • Optionally redirect tweet and profile pages while browsing. This is off by default. No analytics. No telemetry. Your settings stay in your browser. Different services do different jobs: some improve previews, while others offer alternative ways to read posts. Availability varies, and not every service supports every post. If one stops working, switch to another. Share the tweet. Spare your friends the signup.
