Click and get out
Overview
Point, click and hide whatever is in the way. Remembers your choices per site and undoes any change.
Click and get out hides the part of a web page that is in your way. Click the icon, choose "Select element", point at the block with your mouse and click to mark it. A blue frame shows you exactly what you are about to hide, and a second click confirms it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the page and click the extension icon. 2. Choose "Select element". 3. Point at the notice, the banner or the column you do not want. The toolbar tells you what it is: its kind and text, its size and how many images, videos and links it holds. 4. Click to mark it. If only the text gets framed, press ↑ or "Grow" to extend the selection to the whole container. ↓ or "Shrink" goes back to the previous one. Esc drops the mark. 5. Confirm with a second click on it, with "Hide" or with Enter. Esc or "Done" to leave. The toolbar lists what you hide during that visit, so you can see at a glance what you removed and undo it. TWO MODES · This visit only: the change lasts until you reload the tab. Asks for no extra permission. · Remember on this site: saves the rule for future visits. Asks for permission for that one site, at the moment you tick it. The "Allow on all sites" link grants it once for every site if you would rather not be asked each time. EVERYTHING IS REVERSIBLE · Switch: turns a saved rule off without deleting it. The block comes back, now and on future visits, until you turn it on again. · Bin: deletes a saved rule and brings the block back. · Undo: reverts the last thing you hid in that visit. · Reset site: clears every rule for that site and leaves the page as it was. When a site has saved changes, the extension icon carries a badge with the number of elements hidden there. On every other site the icon stays clean. GETTING SCROLLING BACK If removing a notice leaves the page stuck with no scroll, turn on "Restore scrolling" in the menu. It is a separate, reversible option. PRIVACY No network requests, no analytics, no accounts, no data leaving your machine. Rules are stored only in your Chrome profile: a CSS selector and a short label from the block you picked. Nothing is synced to any account. Uninstalling the extension wipes that storage. The extension does not ask for access to every site when you install it. It asks for one specific site when you tick "Remember on this site", and an optional "Allow on all sites" link grants access everywhere at once if you would rather not answer the prompt site by site. The same link takes it back. WHAT IT DOES AND DOES NOT DO It hides elements that are already on the page. It is not an ad blocker: it does not stop downloads, it does not defeat ad-block detection, and it cannot bring back content the site never delivered. It identifies blocks by ID, attributes or classes; when there is no unique handle it falls back to a structural path and the toolbar warns you that the rule depends on the page's structure. If the site changes its layout, a rule may stop working: switch it off or delete it and pick the block again. The picker works in the main document. It does not reach inside iframes or Shadow DOM, though you can select their outer container. Browser-internal pages, the PDF viewer and the Chrome Web Store itself are not covered. FREE The extension is free, with no ads and no paid features. The foot of the menu carries a small "Buy me a coffee" link: it is optional, it unlocks nothing, and the extension loads nothing from that site.
