Open Sensefold from the Chrome toolbar and sign in. 2. Choose "Capture this page" — or start a note. 3. Review the summary, editable tags, and extracted text. 4. While the panel is open, Sensefold checks whether the current page is already in your library. Nothing runs before you accept the page-access disclosure ✓ No data selling, no advertising use ✓ Site access is optional and revocable anytime in Chrome's extension settings; the highlighter can be disabled per site Signing in uses your Sensefold account email and authentication session through Clerk. On your first page-access action (Capture, or enabling the highlighter), Sensefold shows a disclosure and Chrome asks for optional permission to access pages on all websites, remembered until you revoke it in Chrome's extension settings. Outside Capture and the sites you enable the highlighter on, Sensefold does not read page content. Only after you choose Capture does Sensefold read the active page's URL, title, domain, readable content, available thumbnail, and, on supported YouTube pages, transcript. Depending on the page you choose, readable content can include social posts, comments, or AI chat conversations. Sensefold sends that data over HTTPS to Sensefold and its listed processors to create a preview, AI summary, suggested tags, and, after you choose Save, to store the item. Note titles and bodies remain local drafts until you choose Save, when they are sent to your Sensefold library. Recent capture and note drafts, highlight drafts awaiting upload, the sites you enabled the highlighter on, reading size, and the page-access disclosure acknowledgement are stored locally in Chrome.
