Sonar is a beat-search tool on verses.lol. It searches YouTube and the verses.lol producer board together, plays each result in place, and lets you triage with one keystroke per beat. This extension is the piece that makes the YouTube half work. WHY IT IS NEEDED YouTube's search endpoint does not send an Access-Control-Allow-Origin header, so a web page cannot call it — no matter whose page it is. An extension can. That is the entire reason this extension exists. The practical effect: your searches leave from your own browser and your own connection, so you get your own rate limit rather than sharing one pool with everyone else using the site. WHAT IT ADDS • YouTube results in Sonar's grid on verses.lol • Right-click a YouTube video → "Judge in Sonar" • Right-click a YouTube channel → "Crawl this producer" • Type "vl" in the address bar, then a search, to go straight to Sonar • An unread-message count on the toolbar icon, if you are signed in • A popup with a quick search box and links to the site WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • It does not download, convert, record or save any media from YouTube. There is no MP3 or WAV feature anywhere in Sonar, deliberately. • It has no content script and no "tabs" permission, so it cannot see the pages you visit, their contents, or their URLs. • It never reads a cookie — yours, YouTube's, or verses.lol's. • It makes its YouTube requests logged out, so it never touches your YouTube account and sends nothing that identifies you. • It contains no remote code. Everything it runs ships in the package. WHAT IT STORES One token, issued by verses.lol when you are signed in, used only to ask verses.lol how many unread messages you have. It is stored locally, lasts 30 days, and the popup has a Disconnect button that removes it. Nothing else is stored by the extension. Your Sonar stash, your passed list and the model that learns your taste all live in your own browser's storage on verses.lol. They are never uploaded.
