Filter and highlight your X timeline: languages, flags, location, checkmarks, engagement bait, reposts and clutter.

Make X a less miserable place to exist. MED-X filters your timeline the way you would if you had the patience: by language, by country flags in display names, by profile location, by checkmark type, by engagement bait, by duplicate replies, and by the accounts that exist only to shovel content at you. WHAT IT FILTERS Languages - hide posts in languages you don't want to read. Flags and country names - hide posts whose display name carries a flag emoji or a country name. Choose which countries, or all of them. Profile location - hide posts from accounts whose profile says they're from somewhere you'd rather not read. Optionally shows X's own "Account based in" country on profiles and hover cards. Account types - hide blue checks, business or government accounts, or X's parody, commentary, fan and automated labels. Can be limited to replies only. Account red flags - a scored check for the shape of a throwaway account: brand new, posting hundreds of times a day, follower and following counts suspiciously equal, no bio, no profile picture, a numeric handle. You choose the weights and the threshold, and you can watch the scores before you let it hide anything. Engagement bait - scores posts for reply bait, rage bait, follow farming, listicles, shouting, emoji walls and the rest. Again, scored and adjustable. Shovel accounts - hide accounts whose name is built from "daily", "memes", "clips", "news", "updates" and similar. Posting app - X stopped showing which app a post came from, but still sends it. Hide posts made by scheduling and marketing software, as well as the ability to hide posts from mobile users (or even hide posts from web users). Videos - hide short clips or vertical ones, as well as set a starting volume for videos so they don't start at maximum volume. Timeline clutter - remove the sidebar panels, the "what's happening" box, the Grok button on posts, and individual items from the left sidebar. WHAT IT DOES BESIDES HIDING Post highlighter - tint posts containing words you care about, in a color per term, so the things you're watching for stand out instead of scrolling past. Muted accounts - mute an account for a week, or however long you like, and it comes back on its own. Every hidden post collapses to a small bar saying why, which you can click to read it anyway, or shift-click to whitelist that account. Prefer them gone entirely? Switch any section to remove instead, individually. PRIVACY No accounts, no servers, no analytics, no tracking. Your settings stay in your browser. The extension reads the data X already sends to your own browser to decide what to hide, and sends nothing anywhere.
