Clearpane: Popup & Overlay Blocker
Overview
Blocks popups and popunders, clears overlays and cookie notices, and syncs your allowed sites across Chrome. No tracking.
Clearpane keeps pages the way their authors made them. It stops windows you didn't ask for, clears the layers that sit on top of the content, and hides cookie notices, so you can just read. What it does - Blocks popups and popunders: a new window opens only after a real click on a link or button, once per action. - Removes overlays and modals: newsletter walls, full-page covers, pop-in dialogs and pinned ad bars (Strict mode). - Hides cookie notices from the common consent platforms and from custom banners. - Frees pages whose scrolling was locked by an overlay. - Shows a small, optional notice when something is blocked, with an Allow here button. - Lets you allow any site in one tap or with Alt+Shift+P. Your allowed sites sync to every Chrome browser you're signed in to. - Counts what was blocked on this page and in total, on the toolbar badge and in the popup. Private by design - No accounts, no analytics, no remote code. - Only two permissions: storage, and active tab for the shortcut. - Page content is read only inside your browser to find popups, overlays and notices. Nothing is sent anywhere. Tip: if a site stops working as expected, press Alt+Shift+P to allow it.
