The new test uses confusion-axis chromatic discrimination with an adaptive staircase — the same scientific method used in clinical tools like the Cambridge Colour Test and the CAD test (used by the UK Civil Aviation Authority to certify pilots). Instead of just comparing color swatches, it measures your exact discrimination threshold while masking brightness cues with noise, so the results reflect your real color vision — not just your ability to spot brightness differences. This means far more accurate severity detection and better-tuned correction personalized to your eyes. As part of this update, I've removed tritan (blue-yellow) testing to focus entirely on the accuracy of protan and deutan testing, which cover the vast majority of color vision deficiency cases.
