Overview

Hide ads and distractions on webpages, and save your cleanup rules to apply them again on future visits.

Clear Ads helps you hide ads and distracting content on webpages. Select an area, preview the result and save a rule. Enabled rules apply again when you return to that website, and you can pause or delete them at any time. When ads appear in several places, select multiple areas and mark content you want to keep. Rules are organized by website so you can find and adjust them together. For more control, edit matching conditions, block related requests or configure popup protection. Custom scripts require separate permission and the browser's Allow User Scripts setting before they can run. You can also choose filter subscriptions maintained by other providers. Subscriptions and automatic updates are off by default. Enabling a subscription requires access to all ordinary webpages so filtering can work across websites. Inspect downloaded rules and their checks before deciding what to use. Updates to existing subscriptions require your confirmation to apply; failed downloads or updates preserve the previous working rules. Results depend on the website and rules you choose. Some ads may remain, and resources inside a hidden area may already have loaded. Optional AI assistance uses a service you configure to identify ads or revise rules. Starting whole-page identification sends filtered, size-limited content from the loaded page to that service. Selection-based optimization uses the relevant area, while merging uses existing rules. After you configure a service, saving a new rule with its default name also automatically requests a suggested name. You decide whether to save generated results; scripts still require the relevant permissions to run. Filtering cannot remove all personal information. Your provider may charge for use, and model credits are not included. Custom rules are stored on your device. Transfer them through files, or manually upload them to Chrome Sync and download them on another device. Newly imported or downloaded rules remain disabled until you enable them. Subscription settings and downloaded lists stay on your device and are excluded from this sync feature. The interface supports Chinese and English, with light and dark themes. The developer operates no data collection server or analytics service. Subscription downloads, browser sync and optional AI communicate with their respective providers. See the privacy policy for the data involved, storage and deletion options.
