)Overview
Capture full-page and scrolling screenshots as PNG, WebP, or PDF. Clean, local page capture for long pages and web apps.
CleanFrame is a screenshot extension for Chrome that captures full-page screenshots, scrolling screenshots, and viewport screenshots of any webpage. Save webpages as PNG, WebP, or PDF with one click. Perfect for capturing long pages, entire articles, and complete web designs. Unlike basic screen capture tools, CleanFrame uses scroll-and-stitch technology to capture entire webpages from top to bottom without gaps, duplicate headers, or missing content. The extension automatically handles sticky navigation bars, sidebars, floating elements, and fixed footers that typically cause problems in full-page captures. FEATURES - Full-Page Screenshot Capture Capture entire webpages regardless of layout. CleanFrame scrolls through the page, captures each section with overlapping regions, and stitches them into one seamless image. No gaps, no missing content. - App and Dashboard Support Captures pages where the content lives inside a scrolling panel rather than the page itself — community platforms, dashboards, and web apps — not just traditional document-scroll pages. - Viewport Screenshot Capture only what's visible in your browser window. Ideal for quick screenshots and sharing specific sections of a page. - Multiple Export Formats Save screenshots as PNG (lossless quality), WebP (smaller file size), or PDF (document format for printing and archiving). - Smart Fixed Element Handling Sticky navigation bars and floating buttons are captured once at the top instead of repeating down the image. Full-height sidebars are kept in place so they span the whole screenshot. Sticky section headers render once where they belong. - One-Click Capture Click the extension icon, select your options, and capture. Your screenshot downloads automatically with a descriptive filename including the website, dimensions, and timestamp. - Retina and HiDPI Support Screenshots are captured at your display's native resolution for sharp results on high-resolution screens. - Privacy Focused All processing happens locally in your browser. No data is uploaded to external servers. HOW TO USE 1. Click the CleanFrame icon in your Chrome toolbar 2. Choose capture scope: Viewport or Full Page 3. Select format: PNG, WebP, or PDF 4. This is a standard Chrome API. The warning appears briefly during capture and disappears when complete. Can I capture pages behind a login? Yes. CleanFrame captures whatever is visible in your browser, including authenticated pages and password-protected content. How does CleanFrame handle sticky headers and sidebars? CleanFrame is built for modern layouts. Sticky navigation bars and floating buttons are captured once at the top rather than repeating down the page. Full-height sidebars are kept in place so they span the entire screenshot. Sticky section headers appear once where they belong. The result is a clean capture without duplicated or missing elements. Is there a page length limit? CleanFrame captures very long pages in full, up to roughly 65,000 pixels tall (a browser canvas limit). If a page is taller than that, CleanFrame captures as much as fits and lets you know the rest was cut off. What about infinite-scroll feeds? Pages that load endlessly as you scroll (some social feeds and image galleries) have no real "bottom." CleanFrame captures the first portion and tells you it's a partial capture. When should I use PDF format? PDF is ideal for printing webpages or archiving them as documents. PDFs maintain layout and are viewable on any device. What's the difference between PNG and WebP? PNG offers lossless quality with larger file sizes. WebP provides excellent quality with significantly smaller files. Choose PNG for maximum quality or WebP for easier sharing. WHY CLEANFRAME Standard screenshot tools fail on long pages. They either capture only the visible viewport or produce full-page screenshots with: - Gaps between sections - Duplicate headers and navigation bars - Missing or cut-off content - Blurry or compressed output CleanFrame solves these problems with intelligent capture technology designed specifically for modern webpages with complex layouts, sticky elements, and dynamic content. Capture clean, complete screenshots of any webpage with a single click. 1.3.0 - Improved capture for app-style pages with inner scrolling panels and sidebars; smarter handling of sticky and fixed elements; long pages now stitch into a single image beyond Chrome's single-shot height limit.
