Click, record, tidy, export — locally. Click the toolbar icon and CleanCut opens its own recorder window. Pick a tab, a window or the whole screen, record with system audio, stop when you are done, then crop or flip the take and export. Files are written straight to your disk. ### What it does **Tab, window or screen.** Record one tab without the rest of your desktop, a single window, or everything. **System audio on by default.** Every recording asks for sound as well as picture, and Chrome's picker has "Share system audio" switched on, so what you play is captured with the video. **Its own window.** The recorder opens as a small window of its own, not another tab in the middle of your browsing. **Scrub and preview.** Click anywhere on the bar to jump to that moment, play it back, and undo or redo your crop and flips. **Crop and flip.** Crop to the interesting region, mirror the picture horizontally or vertically, then export. **Stop-only shortcut.** Alt-Shift-X stops a recording from anywhere. Starting is always a click, so nothing records by accident. **Nothing uploaded.** No watermark, no account, no cloud. The recording never leaves the machine. ### Privacy Everything stays on this computer. Nothing is uploaded. Recordings are stored in your browser profile until you export or delete them. ### What it does not do Chrome cannot capture protected content, other extensions' pages, or the browser's own settings pages.
