Copy the current URL without extraneous stuff.

This extension lets you choose which URL to copy to the clipboard based on the page you are viewing. It helps you remove all the tracking data sites like Amazon typically append to your product search. It also lets you open a selected cleaned up link in either the current window or in a new one. A typical example is when you end up with: When all you want is: This extensions needs the "tabs" permission, which Chrome describes as "can read and change all your data on websites you visit." That description is very scary, and is certainly not what this extension is doing. This is happening more often now - I think the product is excellent but I've detected a possible improvement. Clean copy URL works great and you can pick from a selection of versions of the URL (can cut right back to the home base of the site if you want, or you can cut back to the current page). The code apparently relies on the presence of a question mark (others have done this too) and is very accurate.
