Overview

Live dashboard for Claude.ai — track tokens, credit cost, prompt-cache TTL, and session/weekly caps in real time.

Claudometer is a local usage monitor for Claude.ai that helps you understand how much of your estimated session and weekly usage you have used while chatting. When you open Claude.ai, the extension adds a small usage chip on the page. Click the chip to view a detailed usage panel with estimated conversation length, credit cost, cache time, session usage, weekly usage, reset time, active model, and estimated messages left. The extension also includes a toolbar popup where you can view your usage dashboard, select your Claude plan, enable or disable notifications, and reset local counters. Key Features: • Live usage chip on Claude.ai • Popup dashboard from the Chrome toolbar • Estimated token count for the current conversation • Estimated credit cost based on selected plan and model • Session usage progress bar • Weekly usage progress bar • Reset countdown estimate • Estimated messages left before session limit • Model-aware usage estimates • Plan selector for Free, Pro, Team, Max 5×, and Max 20× • Optional notifications at warning and critical usage levels • Local reset option to clear stored counters • Runs only on claude.ai • No separate account required How It Works: Claudometer works by locally observing Claude.ai conversation requests in your browser. It estimates token usage from message text and related conversation data, then calculates approximate usage based on the plan you select. All usage values are estimates and may not exactly match Claude.ai or Anthropic’s official billing, quota, or rate-limit systems. How to Use: 1. Install the extension. 2. Open claude.ai in your browser. 3. Start or open a Claude conversation. 4. View the small usage chip in the top-right area of the page. 5. Click the chip to open the detailed usage panel. 6. Click the extension icon to open the popup dashboard. 7. Select your plan to calibrate estimates. 8. Enable notifications if you want alerts near usage limits. Privacy Friendly: Claudometer processes Claude.ai usage data locally in your browser to estimate token and credit usage. Based on the current extension files, it does not send conversation content, usage data, or personal information to the developer’s server. The extension stores only local settings and usage counters in Chrome storage, such as selected plan, estimated usage events, conversation token estimates, and notification settings. Disclaimer: Claudometer is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic or Claude. All token, credit, cache, reset, and message-left values are approximate estimates.
