Inline pacing helper for Claude usage — session headroom, weekly pace, and Claude Code task guidance. Local-only.

# Claude Usage Pace Claude Usage Pace adds a small local-only dashboard to Claude's Usage settings page. Claude shows how much you used. Claude Usage Pace shows whether that usage is healthy for right now. It helps you understand: - Current five-hour session headroom - Weekly all-model usage pace - Model-specific weekly limits when visible - Whether you are under pace, on track, or at risk - How much usage may remain unused if your pace continues - Whether it is a good time to start a focused Claude Code task The extension reads only the usage text already visible on Claude's settings page. It does not use a backend, does not track you, and does not send usage data anywhere. ## How to use 1. Install the extension. 2. Open your Claude usage page at claude.ai/settings/usage (or claude.ai/code#settings/usage). 3. The Claude Usage Pace panel appears automatically, just beneath Claude's native usage section. There is nothing to log in to or configure. 4. Read the top recommendation and current bottleneck line to see if now is a good time for a heavy Claude Code task. 5. Hover any metric for a tooltip explaining how it is calculated. 6. To change preferences (working days, task-guidance hints, parser debug details), open the panel's Options button, or right-click the extension icon and choose Options. The panel updates as the page updates — reopen or refresh the usage page anytime to re-read your latest numbers. ## Limitations Claude usage is variable and depends on model, context length, files, features, and task complexity. This extension does not estimate exact messages or tokens left.
