Claude Usage Monitor adds a small badge to your toolbar showing your current usage percentage, and a popup with full detail on all your active limits — updating automatically in the background. WHAT IT SHOWS • 5-Hour Limit — your short-window usage bar with time-to-reset countdown • 7-Day Limit — your rolling weekly usage across all models • Claude Design — weekly usage for Claude's design/visual features • Extra Usage — paid overage tracking with spend, monthly limit, credit balance, and auto-reload status • Promo banner — automatically surfaces any active "limits boosted" promotion from your claude.ai account, right in the popup, with a dismiss option FEATURES • Live badge on the toolbar icon showing your current usage % • Auto-refreshes in the background on a schedule you choose (1–30 min) • Desktop notification when usage hits your chosen alert threshold (40–95%) • Independent alert thresholds for Extra Usage — set different trigger points than your Daily/Weekly limits • 6 built-in themes: Vintage Dark (default), Vintage Light, Dark, Light, Nord, Sakura • Custom fonts per theme — pick from 40+ curated Google Fonts (Inter, Google Sans, Roboto, Playfair Display, and more) for any theme; fonts are fetched once and cached locally, so the popup works fully offline afterward • One-click "Reset to defaults" for theme and font choices • Toggle each section on or off from the settings page • Works entirely offline after initial setup — no account, no signup, no external server for your usage data • All data stays on your device HOW IT WORKS The extension reads your usage data directly from the claude.ai API using your existing browser login session. No passwords or tokens are ever touched. Data is stored locally in Chrome storage and never sent anywhere. You must be logged in to claude.ai for the extension to display data. Visit claude.ai/settings/usage once after installing to initialise the data — after that it refreshes automatically. If you choose a custom font for a theme, the extension fetches that font's files once from Google Fonts' public CDN and caches them locally in your browser — no further requests are made for that font afterward. PRIVACY No usage data is collected, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party. Everything stays on your device. Font selection triggers a one-time request to Google Fonts' CDN (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) only when you pick a custom font — no other data leaves your device.
