Live service status for Claude in your toolbar: outage and incident alerts, per-service detail, and an optional in-page dot.
Know whether Claude is down before you spend twenty minutes wondering what you did wrong. This extension reads Anthropic's public status page and shows the result as a badge on your toolbar icon. A green circle means everything is healthy. An amber or orange triangle means something is degraded. A red square means a critical outage is underway. You find out without opening a tab. WHAT IT DOES • Live badge on the toolbar icon, refreshed automatically in the background • Hover for a one-line status summary that always says how long ago it was checked • Click for a panel with the open incident, its most recent official update, and a breakdown by individual service • A button that opens the full status page • Choose how often to check, from every 30 seconds to once an hour • An optional dot inside the Claude web app - beside the sidebar button, down in the account row, or in the row under the chat box, whichever suits you • Optionally stop checking altogether while you have no Claude tab open, for the lightest possible footprint - PLANNED MAINTENANCE, WITHOUT THE FALSE ALARM Upcoming windows appear as a quiet blue marker and a second tooltip line. The headline still answers the question you actually have, which is whether it is working right now, so a window scheduled for tomorrow never reads like downtime today. - HONEST WHEN IT CANNOT TELL If the status page is unreachable, the last known result stays on screen and is plainly labelled as such, then retried with backoff. When nothing can be confirmed at all, the badge turns gray instead of continuing to claim everything is fine. Every tooltip states how old the answer is. - PERMISSIONS YOU CONTROL The in-app dot is off until you switch it on, and the browser asks for site access only at that moment. Switch it off and that access is released again. Nothing further is required beyond reading one public endpoint. - PRIVACY No account. No analytics. No tracking. No third-party code. A single anonymous request, and your preferences kept locally in the browser. Nothing else leaves the machine. - ACCESSIBILITY Each state carries a distinct shape as well as a color, so the badge stays readable without relying on color vision. The panel is keyboard navigable, screen-reader labelled, and follows your light or dark theme and your reduced-motion setting. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic PBC.
